Give a Sewing Machine

The older Emmanuel children are learning how to sew! Girls and boys are making collared shirts and learning the skills that will be so useful as they go out into the world and try to make a living. In Haiti, both men and women find jobs as tailors. All school uniforms are made to order for each individual child, and that takes a lot of sewing, making it one of the most useful skills a young person could have. This gift will provide one pedal sewing machine (no generator or fuel necessary) to allow another child to learn to sew. We will also be providing machines to area widows who have the ability and have shown the desire to become seamstresses.
